Your data stays on your phone
Everything you enter stays on this phone. Downdose has no account and no server. The only data that leaves your phone is anonymous usage data (which screens are used — never doses or symptoms), and you can turn that off in the app.
Questions
Does Downdose tell me what dose to take?
No. It only shows the plan you entered, exactly as your doctor wrote it. If anything is unclear, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Which medicines does it support?
Prednisolone, prednisone, methylprednisolone, hydrocortisone — or any other steroid you name — in any tablet strengths, once or twice a day, every day, alternate days or weekdays only.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, completely. There is nothing to sign up for.
What does it cost?
Downdose is free.
Which phones?
iPhone with iOS 16 or later, and Android phones with Android 8.0 or later.
What if I get a new phone?
Make a backup (More › Back up & restore), keep the recovery key on paper, and restore it on the new phone.
